Digitoll: Mandatory Digital Customs Clearance for Freight Forwarders Entering Norway

Digitoll is the Norwegian Customs Authority's new solution for digital customs clearance that will affect all freight forwarders from March 2025 onwards. Digital customs registration soon become mandatory for all transport moving goods into Norway. 

Following the implementation of this new initiative by the Norwegian Customs Authority, companies will be required to clear their goods, digitally before it reaches the border. Exempted goods are those that will be stored in bonded warehouses. With a high-tech storage facility across Norway, ColliCare is able to provide effective solutions to this new rule

Customs Clearence Requirements

To utilize Digitoll, it’s essential that our customs department receives all necessary information about the goods on the truck or in the container before they reach the Norwegian border.

With this new system, the option for direct customs clearance upon delivery will be eliminated, as well as the ability to clear goods within 10 days of arrival. Instead, declarations can be made up to 5 days before the goods arrive.
